We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. This is a non-profit Lions Club fundraiser (Almaguin Highlands Lions Club of Strong Twp). The boat rentals are organized by lions member volunteers.

This is a new venture for us in 2024 and we are very excited to offer this new amenity to Lake Bernard!

All donations will be put back into our local* community projects and local* donations.

Rentals are not permitted to leave Lake Bernard. Boats/boards/bikes are not to be transported to another lake, or location. 

You must be on-time for pick-up and drop-off. Remember you have to sign a waiver, so please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time. This way, you can grab your boat/board/bike and be on your way without wasting any of your rental time.

Late Pick-Up: our volunteers can not wait, so you will lose your rental without refund, if you arrive late. This is volunteer-led, so there are no 'employees' working if you arrive late.

Late Drop-Off: $20 fee incurred, plus an additional $1 for each additional minute you are late.

We reserve the right to deny any rental, at any time, if we feel you are unable to operate the rental safely and respectfully.

We are located on Water Street, at the corner or Water Street and James Street, in Sundridge. We are just before the boat launch, on the left hand side.

Waiver: you are required to sign a waiver at pick-up. Bring a valid ID. Children 17yrs and younger require adult signature and supervision. For the bikes, children and adults are required to wear a helmet, know cycling rules of the road, their hand signals, and are expected to follow the rules of the road required by law.

Children Rentals: not permitted without adult accompaniment and supervision. Children boats not permitted in deep water; they must remain in shallow water and close to shore. All children must remain supervised throughout the rental period and are not to be left unattended.

Please give us ample time to prepare your rental by booking at least 24hrs in advance.

You are responsible for any missing, lost, and stolen items, and all items not returned.

​

Missing Accessory Items: $50 minimum, to be assessed at drop-off. This includes: life jacket, paddle, paddle cord, first aid kit etc. 

​

Stolen, Lost, or Not Returned: $250 minimum child's boat only, $350 minimum adult boat only, plus the costs of paddle, life jacket, and all accessories. $200 bike.

Closed if heavy rain, lightening, thunderstorms. Rentals affected, will be offered to book a different day, or refund.

*light rain and gloomy weather do not affect rentals and no refunds will be offered for cancellations, or no-shows. Please check the weather report before booking.

You are responsible for all damages incurred during your rental.

Dirty: $20, if the boat/board/bike is returned in a condition that is unrentable.

Damaged: $100 minimum, to be assessed at drop-off. Anything considered more than normal wear and tear. *Boats are not to be dragged on the ground. Excessive scratches, dents, and any holes are all considered damages and you will be charged for the necessary repairs, or whole boat replacement.
